Araucania has a growing collection of fingering weight yarns perfect for socks, shawls and more. The Prism Paints were introduced in 2023 just in time for the very popular Assigned Pooling technique. In assigned pooling, you use a yarn with a distinct, yet not self-striping, pattern to the colors. You pick one color to be your assigned color for whatever stitch you want to use for that color. The simplest technique is to knit all the colors but your assigned color, and to purl the assigned color. This yarn gives you a great opportunity to explore and get creative. If you don't want to try and design yourself, just do a pattern search in Ravelry for the technique and you will find lots of patterns available. This yarn is 75% super wash merino wool, and 25% nylon. There are 433 yards per skein. The price is $25, and shipping is included.
