Stunning Antique Chinese Zodiac Compass Rosewood Sliding Discs with Ox-Bone Inlay Engraved Image of Chinese Fisherman Signed in bone on the bottom of the base. The Compass needs to be Re-magnetized. Approximate Measurements: 3.75” diameter x 1.5” deep Feng Shui - Zodiac Calendar - Compass Uniquely designed and created, this Chinese calendar is rosewood with bone inlay and swivels open to reveal a compass and additional Chinese symbols. These tools were created in ancient China so the peasants would understand astrology practiced by their Emperor. Based on calendar years not on constellations, a circle of animals were used to symbolize each year. The animals are the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog and boar. Condition is very good, some wear patterns, and slight cut in the top disc. Check out pics.
