Fresh from a Local Estate..... A beautiful vintage Chinese abacus (Suan pan) counting device, solid wood frame, bamboo rods, hardwood beads, and brass reinforcement fittings, by Hop Cheong Tai of Hong Kong; original labels are intact (one in Chinese, the other in English indicating the maker and city) and appear on frame each behind a rod of beads; c. Early 1900s-1940s; abacus is @ 8 1/8"L x 4 5/8"w. This is a beautiful old piece, is functional and would be an eye-catcher in any office decor. Please see all pictures and zoom in.
